About the Event

Seek out a moment just for yourself. A moment in time for self-care — to move on from a difficult experience, rejuvenate your soul after burnout or starting over from separation...

This 3-day Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) retreat is for women only. Women seeking out solitude and space to relax, calm their mind, still their thoughts and reconnect with self on 34-acres of undisturbed rolling countryside and stunning vistas overlooking the surrounding Australiana landscape of Ngunnawal country.

Home to her alpacas, horses and the family dog, it is here that Lisa welcomes you to her rural Royalla retreat and where you'll be healing your heart and mind.

Learn to relax your nervous system and encourage downtime for rest and recovery in what is often a constant state of fight or flight. Whether you are seeking personal time out, improved self-care or to stretch your comfort zone, this three-day retreat will see you learn techniques to reduce stress and manage decisions.

Connect with like-minded women, let go and release those beliefs that hold you back. See a way forward and feel renewed as you hang with the herd in the country.

Listen to the whispers on the wind, the calls of the cocktaoo and follow your intuition when you join Lisa and the herd for a truly wonderful weekend connecting in with self and soul.

Equine Assisted Learning

Equine Assisted Learning is where horses provide a humbling experience through real-time, honest feedback. Horses demand respect due to their size and strength. As prey animals, they are emotionally intuitive as their survival depends on it. Attention to their peripheral leaves them ready for flight or fight in an instant. Participants have the potential to learn from these intelligent creatures.

You will engage with horses directly. The activities will encourage observation, awareness of personal responses and confidence levels, allowing you to learn how to keep yourself safe by understanding horse movements and body parts. Through individual, paired and group activities, you will explore non-verbal communication, trust, teamwork and leadership qualities. Activities are tailored to support individuals and the group throughout the program.

Getting dusty and dirty is all part of the day, so if you're afraid to get your hands dirty or crack a nail, then maybe give this a miss. Prior experience with horses is not necessary nor required to hang with the herd. You are invited to take on full care of your horse for the duration of this retreat if you desire. All horses will be provided by Lisa.

If you are seeking a trail ride through the countryside, filled with prancing and picnics… sorry, but this is not the experience you are looking for.
